Diggy Simmons took umbrage at a J. Cole Line on “Grew Up Fast,” and has now responded with “What You Say To Me.”
Young rapper Diggy Simmons was none to pleased when J. Cole addressed Diggy in a dismissive manner on “Grew Up Fast “: “Move along cocksucker, ain’t got nothing to see / ‘Less you talking blockbuster, you niggas is not Russell / You more Diggy, me? I’m more Biggie / No diss to the young buy, I’m just rapping, get bored quickly.”
In response, Diggy decided to lay it on the line with his new track, “What You Say To Me,” spotted at MissInfo.TV:
“The other day I was listening to Purple Rain / couldn’t believe all of the things that I heard em say / Who dat, who dat, you know who it is / Heard you lying on my sis, tellin people that you hit / When your album drops I’ma hit you with your bricks / So I’ma bomb first on you since you wanna riff / Who you gonna call, you ain’t got no friends / This fight is fixed, you ain’t got no wins / Little nigga named Cole think he live like me / Jet setter trend setter, yeah you not like me / Can’t find a girl that you know that do not like me / Can’t find a girl I know, who know you, you dumb fool / Wasn’t even poppin’ in the school you used to go to.”
Diggy’s reference to J. Cole’s “Purple Rain ” illustrate another facet of the dispute, as Cole referenced Diggy’s sister, Vanessa, on the cut.

Big Sean discusses his sophomore set, “Finally Famous 2.”
As Big Sean celebrates his hit song, “Dance (A$$ Rmx) ” hitting the double platinum mark, the young emcee readies his sophomore album, Finally Famous 2.
During an interview on Power 106 Los Angeles with Yesi Ortiz and Justin Credible, the G.O.O.D. Music emcee was asked whether Nicki Minaj would make an appearance on his next album. “Probably so,” he replied. “We’ve got a couple of things in the works, so we just gotta see how it comes out. She’s the homie though. Shout out to her.”
Sean also confirmed that he would be working with No I.D. again for his next project. “Of course. No I.D., Kanye. Working with a lot of new producers. Working with my producer Key Wayne, my homie Jalil…who else? We’ve been in there with lots of people. We’ve been in there with Salaam Remi, Young Chop…just a lot of new producers.”
The Detroit emcee stated that it was even possible that Justin Bieber would appear on his new project. “Shout out to Justin Bieber. That’s my homie, too. We got something in the works. You’re gonna see it sooner or later. Either my album or his album.”
Drake recalls the origin of his collaboration with The Weeknd.
The Weeknd contributed both as a singer and as a producer on Drake’s sophomore album, Take Care. In a recent interview with Choice FM, the rapper discussed his collaboration with his fellow Toronto native.
“Well, ‘Crew Love ‘ was a song I actually heard for the first time when I was on the ‘Moment 4 Life ‘ video set with Nicki Minaj,” explained Drizzy.
“One of my friends played me this song,” he continued. “At the time, we were just building our relationship with The Weeknd. Kinda just talking to him for the first time. It was a song he had…the hook and his verse was done already, and I was like, ‘Yo, this song is brilliant. Listen to how it starts, and what he’s saying, and the sentiment in the song.’”
“That’s where I’m at in my life,” stated Drake. “Love in the crew. It’s not just about me. It’s about the Weeknd, it’s about Niko, it’s about my cousin Ryan. They love all of us.”
Birdman Says:
“Ross signed to Def Jam and you know Ross is a close friend of mine. But if the time ever came, we gonna G up and make it happen,” Birdman explained. “Right now he signed to Def Jam, but when the time do come, I’m gonna be right there waiting…I know that I told Game, if the time come I would love to sign Game. I think he’s a very talented artist. But right now he’s signed with Interscope, maybe he’s got another album. But when time comes, I’m gonna be there for him too.”
Birdman also shared that he was impressed with what Ross is doing over at Maybach Music Group, but wasn’t as enthusiastic with his words when it came to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music.
“They’re doing what they’re doing too. But I think Khaled and Rozay are doing a little more,” said Birdman. “They’re a little more active with their acts. I ain’t talking about them as a brand, but their acts. You got Kanye doing him, but what acts do they have that are active and doing a lot? I’m looking at how much your team is doing.”
As far as retirement is concerned Birdman revealed that once Lil Wayne calls it quits in music then that’s when he plans on retiring as well.
“One thing about my son is that what he says is what he means. When he does retire, that’s when I’m going to stop fucking with it altogether because it ain’t gonna be no need. He’s going to take us where we need to go. When he retires, that’s when I stop,” he explained.
